Amy joined the District 112 Foundation Board in 2023. She resides in Chanhassen, MN with her husband Ryan and their two daughters, Abby and Emma, who attend Chaska Middle School West and Bluff Creek Elementary.
Amy’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Addiction Studies. Professionally, Amy has worked with families for nearly 20 years as a counselor at a national non-profit agency. Amy’s career has focused primarily on working with adolescent/young adults and their families, who hold a very special place in her heart, and more recently with families of all ages nationally.
Why Involved: She joined the board as she feels strongly that all students in the district deserve equal opportunities to benefit fully from the excellent education afforded to them in our district. She is part of the Foundation as it supports both our educators and students when needing support outside of those available directly through the school district. Amy’s passion for students and staff ranges from finding assistance to counteract food insecurity so that students can learn in the classroom, helping teachers bring new and exciting innovations into the classrooms, and celebrating the great work being done by the talented professionals in our district.

She currently focuses on communications, marketing, grassroots advocacy, compliance, and reporting, in addition to managing a Fortune 100 Political Action Committee.
Why Involved: She joined the board because she believes that teachers are the unsung heroes of the next generation and wanted to give back to the schools that have provided so much for her family. The Foundation plays an important role in helping to recognize and fuel the great work teachers and staff do every day to help change children's lives.
